Drone Show Software 5.0
Quick Start

Write your awesome label here.
This course is meant as continued training in the use of Drone Show Software. By introducing the use of Quick Start, a powerful new alternative to the main DSS Controller, the course equips drone show operators with a paradigm-changing new tool, which allows for streamlined flight operations and more flexible takeoff and landing arrangements, greatly saving up on the ground space necessary to run a show and cutting intermediate steps in piloting the fleet.

For whom is this course?

This course is designed for users of Drone Show Software that already have some working experience in operating drone shows and are updating to version V. It explains the use of Quick Start as an alternative way to control one’s fleet.

The course provides an explanation of the following:

  • The concept of Quick Start and how it differs from the traditional DSS Controller.
  • Interface elements of Quick Start and how to use them correctly.
  • Detailed takeoff and landing scenarios using Quick Start, including how to navigate obstacles.
  • Troubleshooting and limitations of Quick Start: when to choose it and when to opt for the main DSS Controller instead.
  • A short self-assessment test to , as well as the opportunity to submit one’s training Quick Start show(s) and get feedback from the instructors.

What does the trainee need to accomplish the course:

Software
 Hardware
  • A fleet of drones compatible with the Drone Show Software
  • Ground components (primary and secondary PC, network switch, RTK station, sufficient primary WiFi access points, secondary radio channel)

Course duration:

  • 2-4 hours

Prerequisites:

  • Trainees are expected to have working experience with the Drone Show Software or, at the very least, to have undergone the flagship Drone Show Software Training Course
  • Drone Show Software 5.0 should be installed on the trainee’s PC. This course can be taken with the use of Fleet Simulator only, but we encourage having the fleet and ground components in working order to attempt the maneuvers with real drones as well
